On the Hunt

One of the best things about any holiday is coming together with loved ones and fellow community members even if it is from a distance. Our Savior Lutheran Church is hosting a COVID-19-safe, drive-thru egg hunt from 9 a.m.–noon on April 16 with various holiday activities included.

After a COVID-19 year off, the Excelsior area ICA food shelf fundraiser returned in December and was held at Lakes Area Realty. Santa Claus greeted children and posed for pictures.

Bridgewater Bank Luck o’ the Lake 5K Fun Run and 1 Mile Run

The 10th annual Bridgewater Bank Luck o’ the Lake 5K Fun Run and 1 Mile Run are set for March 19, and it includes options for racers of all abilities.

Wayzata Chilly Open

The 37th annual Wayzata Chilly Open returns in full force this year on February 11 and 12 on frozen Wayzata Bay. The annual event is a fundraiser for the Wayzata Chamber of Commerce.

Klondike dog derby

Water Street in Excelsior will have drivers of a different sort when it welcomes back to town The Lake Minnetonka Klondike Dog Derby, set for February 4 (vet checks, Hug a Husky and Meet the Musher events) and February 5 (race day).

Halloween festivities were in full-costumed force in downtown Excelsior as more than 700 school children participated in a parade walk down the center of town. Merchants along Water Street greeted participants with sweet treats to mark the day.
