Excelsior’s Art on the Lake, June 9–10

If you want to throw a party but dread the toil, don’t despair. It’s a snap to arrange a gathering at a nearby restaurant. Many dining establishments offer not only party rooms but party planning services as well.

Races around the cities are largely held near the Minneapolis chain of lakes, snubbing the waters of our beloved Lake Minnetonka.

It’s the ultimate in reduce, reuse and recycle: This month, Otten Bros—in collaboration with JUNKMARKET Style and the Freshwater Society—will be holding its second Flea Market Under Glass.

Lace up your running shoes; the second Tonka Trot hits the pavement October 15. Last year, more than 300 runners raised close to $3,500 for Minnetonka’s Groveland Elementary School in a non-traditional school fundraiser.

Ninety years and $2.5 million later, Wayzata Community Church’s (WCC) annual rummage sale is back and bigger than ever. The sale began in 1921 with a few women from the Ladies’ Aid Society and has since grown into a community-wide event.

Get sweaty on your way to service. Minnetonka United Methodist Church invites the community to bike, walk, run or carpool to the August 7 service for the fourth annual Blessing of the Bicycles.

Drink specials, exclusive shopping and thousands of tiaras can only mean one thing: It’s Girls Night Out season in Excelsior.
