Aquatennial Celebrations

Kick off the week of celebrations with Minnesota’s largest nighttime parade along Hennepin Avenue, marvel at the Twin Cities River Rats as they perform entertaining tricks on the water, up your fitness game and partake in the Torchlight 5k or sit back and watch in awe at one of the top five annual firework displays in the nation on Saturday evening. Minnesota WebFest 2019

Minnesota WebFest is the first film festival dedicated to the emerging web series format in the Midwest. Now in our third year, we bring the best web series in the world to Minnesota and showcase top Minnesota talent through screenings, networking events, educational talks and panels. This year, the festival is an all-weekend event that kicks off with a Minnesota Industry Night on Thursday, September 26th and concludes with an awards ceremony the evening of Saturday, September 28th.

The Art of Living with Dementia

A special reception to celebrate "the power of art and community for individuals living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia" will be held at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts June 6, organizers say.

From 3-6 p.m., participants from the Memory Cafe and Dementia-Friendly City Initiative, as well as their family and friends, will be invited to view the new exhibit. A reception for the general public will from 6-8 p.m. Read more about The Art of Living with Dementia

Art on the Lake

On the second weekend in June, Art on the Lake returns to Excelsior’s Commons Park at the end of picturesque Water Street. The fest includes fine art from a bevy of local and regional artists, who are selected by a jury process, in a wide variety of mediums—painting, ceramics, jewelry, glass, sculpture, textiles, wood and more. Film and filmmakers will also be part of the event this year as Art on the Lake welcomes its nonprofit arts partner FilmNorth. Read more about Art on the Lake

Art of the Garden
