For 31 years, Highland Fest has been one of the premier festivals in Saint Paul, celebrating the Highland Park neighborhood.

After a huge success during its inaugural year of 2014, German Fest on West Seventh Street comes back to the historic Schmidt’s Brewery in Saint Paul for another weekend celebration of Minnesota’s German heritage and traditions.

Joy of the People is open year round for soccer, futsal and (coming soon) puckelball. Summer free play hours are noon to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Germanic-American Institute kicks off summer with its annual Deutsche Tage celebration in Saint Paul. Originating in the 1960s in Highland Park, Deutsche Tage is now held at the Germanic-American Institute on Summit Avenue.
