Highland Fest: A Summer Celebration of Highland Park

The popular festival returns for another weekend of family-friendly entertainment.

For 31 years, Highland Fest has been one of the premier festivals in Saint Paul, celebrating the Highland Park neighborhood. “Highland Fest is a great chance to feel the sense of community here in Highland Park,” says Calida Cogan, member of the Highland Fest planning committee. This year’s event is July 17–19.

With activities such as the wiener dog races, a wine tasting sponsored by Haskell’s, the art fair and the community picnic sponsored by The Nook, there is something for everyone. “Last year, the juried art fair and Community Village Showcase were very popular,” Cogan says.

New this year will be Sunday’s All Ford Car and Truck Show, located in front of the Highland Park Community Center. “Our main goal for 2015 is to build on the events we had success with in 2014,” Cogan says. “We are planning to make 2015 better than ever before.”

Highland Fest is an all-outdoors event, held at the intersection of Ford Parkway and Cleveland Avenue.
