Bach to Rock, America’s music school for students of all ages, is opening its newest school in Coon Rapids. The community is invited to the free grand opening. If you or your children are into music, singing or love playing a particular instrument, come check out our school.  Take a tour, enjoy a free music lesson, learn about individual lessons and group classes, or try out free toddler “Mommy and Me” classes.  Plus you can enter prize drawings and giveaways, check out the recording studio and enjoy performances by instructors. Celebrate spring and create sweet memories with your child at our Magical Garden Dance on Saturday, April 9th, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This adult and child event includes an evening of dance (live DJ), refreshments, photo booth, activities, swag bag and more!  Recommended child ages 5-11, but all ages welcome.  Proceeds benefit the Minnetonka Public Schools Foundation.

Gather your family and friends in the car to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Sever’s Holiday Lights. This year the half-mile course, located at Sever’s Festival grounds in Shakopee, is packed with 2 million lights set to holiday music favorites mixed to an upbeat track.

Stay in the safety and comfort of your own vehicle while enjoying this one-of-a-kind magical display. Munch on concessions including homemade calzones, mini donuts, cider and caramel corn. Metropolitan Ballet celebrates 15 years of this family friendly holiday tradition! The classic story comes to life with fresh choreography and a cast of talented artists under the direction of Erik J. Sanborn of the Metropolitan Ballet. Tchaikovsky’s brilliant score is masterfully performed live by the Kenwood Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Yuri Ivan.  Starring Russian ballerina, Natalia Sheptalova, as Sugar Plum Fairy.

Mark your calendar for a season (or two!) of fresh air activities from Sever’s, starting with the 2021 Sever’s Fall Festival. This year’s corn maze theme Mythical Creatures will include a host of legendary characters like a mermaid, unicorn and the Loch Ness monster. As always, the corn maze is just the beginning of the activities included in the Fall Festival Admission. You’ll learn how to make three summer-inspired pop-up cards to send to your loved ones this summer. Fun and accessible to many developmental levels, this workshop is open to all ages. Enjoy a memorable Flying Pancake Breakfast!

Guests will "catch 'em if they can" pancakes tossed from the grill. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, coffee, and a cold drink. Breakfast is $8 (cash or checks only) at the door. U.S. Veterans eat free. At 10 a.m., a short ceremony and flag raising including rifle salute will be conducted.
