From the creators of The Color Run comes Pumpkin Nights, a one mile long walking path with 12 worlds of marvelous art and Halloween fun, lined with over 3,000 hand-carved pumpkins in larger than life displays. Launching in Twin Cities at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds on Friday, October 14, Pumpkin Nights will be open for 18 days until Halloween Day—Monday, October 31. The Flint Hills International Children’s Festival is one of the largest children’s festivals of its kind in the country. The festival features local, regional and international professional artists representing more than 25 countries on seven indoor and outdoor stages. Tickets for all indoor performances are $5. They inspire children to get out and get creative through their music; believing they can motivate kids to gain a greater respect for both their communities and themselves. All are welcome! The Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Historical Society will once again team up with the Minnesota Streetcar Museum to present the annual Booseum & Ghost Trolley on Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Society’s museum. This event is fun for all ages. It features live music by Mystic 5, costume parade, youth performances, tours of our haunted museum, and a thrilling trolley ride with Halloween characters along the route. The Nativity County Fair began in 1975. The Nativity community pulled together in order to facilitate a fun way of giving to the school that has given so much to their children and their community. The early start of the fair was a small group of volunteers who organized the parish to provide games, food, fun and even a helicopter ride in order to draw the community together in the spirit of giving.
