As summer winds down, we welcome stories about education—of all kinds—in our annual back-to-school issue. The cherry on top is our Senior Spotlight feature, a perennial favorite.

Since 1985, Paradise Charter Cruises has offered yachting trips on Lake Minnetonka for special events.

 

The Orono Foundation for Education’s annual Red and Blue Bash was held at the Lafayette Club in April and raised $315,000 to benefit Orono schools.  The sold out Vegas-style event was attended by 450 guests for food, casino games, an auction and more.

 

The 2019 Minnesota Bound Crappie Contest was held in May at Lord Fletcher’s on Lake Minnetonka. The event raised thousands of dollars for Fishing For Life, offered prizes to anglers, and promoted family-friendly fish fun in the sun.
