Babysitting Training

Taking care of young children is a huge responsibility, and being prepared is paramount to the safety of the children, especially for older kids just beginning to babysit. This course teaches important safety measures; successful completion earns an American Red Cross Babysitter Training Certificate, making students eligible for the next course, Babysitter Training Plus, which includes infant/child CPR training. Tax Aide

There’s no season that’s dreaded like tax season, and for good reason: It can be extremely stressful, frustrating and hard to understand. To help, AARP tax aide volunteers will be available for one-hour appointments for low-income taxpayers and seniors. Bring current tax records, a copy of last year’s tax return, Social Security card and a picture ID. Beyond Basics to Card Making with Rubber Stamps

There’s something pretty special about receiving a beautiful handmade card. But if you thought these beautiful handmade cards were easier said than done, think again. Rubber stamps are an easy and fun way to personalize cards and a quick way to ensure that they’ll look clean and inviting. In this class, you’ll learn advanced tips for stamps and card-making, as well as try your hand at creating five cards of your own. Learning about embossing and embellishments will open your eyes to the potential of this creative craft. Sampler Saturday: Ceramics—Handbuilding

Interested in ceramics but don’t want the commitment of weeks of classes? Sampler Saturday is offering the chance to try it out with this one-session, two-hour class. A pre-rolled slab of clay is the perfect start for experimenting with the tools and hand-building techniques you’ll learn. You’ll even have the chance to add texture and finish with a glaze.
