Excelsior Apple Days

Excelsior Apple Days is a coveted lakeside festival celebrating community, art, locally produced food and a good old-fashioned street dance. Since 1935, beloved fans of Apple Days have been enjoying a day full of events - craft booths, the Happy Apple Kids Corner, food vendors, history tour, Apple Pie contests, live entertainment - from local groups to well-known bands on the big stage, and the popular beer and wine garden located in the middle of it all.

This high-energy, interactive, stage production brings the culinary hit TV show, MasterChef Junior, directly to fans and foodies alike… live on stage. Watch Season 8’s winner, finalist and fan favorites as they take to the stage in head-to-head cooking demonstrations and fun (sometimes messy) challenges with an overall immersive audience experience fun for all ages. 'Something Rotten' at Theatre L’Homme Dieu

Minnetonka Theatre is excited to revive their award-winning musical Something Rotten at Theatre L’Homme Dieu in Alexandria this summer. “We were honored to be the first high school ever selected to perform at Minnesota’s longest running professional summer stock back in 2019 with our production of Bright Star,” said Artistic Director Trent Boyum. “Our students are beyond thrilled to be invited back to perform Something Rotten on the TLHD stage. About the Artist Talk

Hear from the recipients of the MCBA/Jerome Foundation Book Arts Residency Series XVI: printmaker and printstallation artist Nicole Soley; artist, writer and educator Brooks Turner; and artist and designer Leah Willemin.

The residents will be discussing their artistic processes, their experiences so far in the Residency Program and their plans for their exhibition in the fall. Big Fish The Musical at Wayzata's Good Works Community Theater

Wayzata's own Good Works Community Theater is so excited to bring our 20th Anniversary Show, BIG FISH, to Life March 16-20. Set in Alabama, this heartfelt and truly magical musical is a story of love and community brimming with soaring music, larger-than-life dance numbers and an intergenerational cast (75 of them) spanning all ages. Production Dates are March 16-20 (Evening performances at 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday's special needs/child friendly matinees at 2 p.m.). Minnesota Book Artist Award Opening Reception

Explore a new exhibition by Cathy Ryan, Minneapolis book artist and winner of the 2022 Minnesota Book Artist Award for her pandemic-themed artist’s book, Chronicle! Multiple copies of this screen printed and letterpress printed book, which jurors praised as "impeccable” and "a very intentional work" will be on view, along with several pieces reflective of Cathy’s artistic practice. Metropolitan Ballet celebrates 15 years of this family friendly holiday tradition! The classic story comes to life with fresh choreography and a cast of talented artists under the direction of Erik J. Sanborn of the Metropolitan Ballet. Tchaikovsky’s brilliant score is masterfully performed live by the Kenwood Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Yuri Ivan.  Starring Russian ballerina, Natalia Sheptalova, as Sugar Plum Fairy.
