Ballet Minnesota presents its 28th
annual holiday favorite The Classic
Nutcracker at The O’Shaughnessy, on the campus of St. Catherine University,
2004 Randolph Ave., Saint Paul, December

The magic is brought to life by
a cast of more than 130 dancers including nationally known dancers in feature
roles, Ballet Minnesota company veterans and apprentices, members of
Minneapolis’s Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Ensemble and students from Classical
Ballet Academy. The student roles range from the starring turn of Clara to the
tiniest dancers as scene-stealing mice. The lively sets further the magic with a
Christmas tree and grandfather clock that grow before your eyes, sparks flying
in the battle between the Rat King and Nutcracker, and snow falling gently on snow
fairies emerging from the enchanted Land of Snow.
