Theatre 301 At Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Excelsior is pleased to present the Tony Award-winning musical "Fiddler on the Roof.".

Fifty years ago, this now-beloved classic opened on Broadway and beame the first musical theatre run to suprass 3,000 performances. Set in Imperial Russia in 1905, the story centers on Tevye, a milkman and the father of five daughters, who attempts to maintain his family and Jewish religious traditions in the face of an ever changing political and social landscape. Over the years, "Fiddler on the Roof" has become a musical theatre tradition--a story filled with laughter, heartbreak and tenderness, and music that is unforgettable.
