Lake Minnetonka Triathlon

Kick off the summer with a brisk physical challenge on Lake Minnetonka. The triathlon will include a swimming section in the lake as well as biking and running onshore; some of the proceeds go toward charity. Worried about doing that all by yourself? Join Align Health and Wellness for a free dinner at the Wayzata Country Club and learn all about what it means to be healthy. Bring a few friends and get ready to make changes to your life. Adult Co-Rec Kickball

Put on your game face and get your competitive spirit going with adult kickball this summer. Seven weeks of competition will culminate in a playoff between the top four teams of each league. The leagues are separated by days of the week: Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Founded in 2004 by the Donnelly sisters, the Minnesota RollerGirls league is run by a pack of strong, scrappy women who work by day as everything from web developers to fashion designers to medical professionals. By night, they’re checking, elbowing and brawling in the full-contact sport that is roller derby. Hot Dash 5K & 10 Mile

Spring may be just around the corner, but tough Minnesotans know that to keep warm, you’ve got to keep moving. Runners from around the Twin Cities will brave the brisk weather to kick off their running season. Jake O’Connor’s Luck O’ the Lake 5K

There’s a wild green mass overtaking the streets of Excelsior this St. Patrick’s Day, but don’t run away—run with it! Jake O’Connor’s Luck O’ the Lake 5K Fun Run is ready to paint the town green once again. A sea of leprechauns, lads and lasses make up this festive event, and you can be a part of it. Big Island and Back 10k Nordic Ski Dash

Bundle up and grab your skis for a day of fun on the lake. The third year of this race promises to be even bigger and better, featuring a post-race party at newly expanded Excelsior Brewing. Proceeds go to the Freshwater Society and the ICA Food Shelf Program.
