Shutterbugs, our 2015 Lens on Lake Minnetonka photo contest has come to a close. Thanks to our readers for their gorgeous photo submissions! A panel of judges chose a winner in each category (listed below).

Some people realize their career goals after many years of searching and indecision. Others grow up with a deep, lifelong passion for their chosen field. You could say that KARE 11’s newest meteorologist and Shorewood native Jeff Edmondson was born into weather.

Minnetonka resident Amy Mathews brought her hometown magazine along on a trip to Greece earlier this year. (Check out next month’s issue for a peek at Mathews’ craft: hand-dyed scarves.)

Railroad magnate James J. Hill’s former home on Summit Avenue may be a well-known Saint Paul landmark, visited by residents, tourists and field-trip-bound school children, but there is another Hill-inspired venue in the city that is attracting a lot of traffic.

Miki Huntington has worked in the White House. She’s flown Black Hawk helicopters. She has lived overseas. She spent 25 years in the U.S. Army. She served as a member of President George W. Bush’s administration.

When Justin M. Anderson of Minnetonka, now 14, found a cat and her kittens in the park near his house last summer, he made a conscious decision to help. After rounding up the cats with the help of his mom, Rachel, they brought them to the Animal Humane Society.
