Calling all lake-area families! Join Minnetonka Public Schools in honoring all things artsy with a Celebration of the Arts beginning Saturday, May 14.

For one week, the Arts Center on 7 will come alive with the sights and sounds of the visual and performing arts as scores of young creative artists share their talents with each other and with our community.

Students from Wayzata High School and Blake Middle School are representing the lake area—and the entire state of Minnesota—at this weekend’s Department of Energy National Science Bowl in in Washington, D.C.

The 21st annual competition draws high school and middle school students from across the country to be quizzed on various science topics including biology, chemistry, earth science, physics, astronomy, energy, and math.

Get those baskets ready! All ages are welcome to join the Cottagewood General Store’s Easter egg hunt this Saturday, April 23, at 10 a.m.

Come to the store early for your tickets and a map. During the morning, tour Cottagewood yards and greet neighbors while searing high and low for eggs; houses are designated by age. Keep an eye out for the elusive golden eggs filled with cash and prizes! The Easter Bunny himself will be on hand for photos along with fun activities like face painting and other surprises. Cost is $5 per child.
