Champagne over Chambord

• 1 oz. Chambord raspberry liqueur (Chambord is sweet and doesn’t need additional sugars.)
• 5–6 oz. Champagne (I would recommend a brut or brut rosé.)
• raspberries for garnish

Add Chambord to a Champagne flute. Pour Champagne over Chambord, and add a few raspberries to the glass to garnish.

With summer in high gear, drinks should be fun and refreshing. Here are a few that top my list:

For a new entry in cocktails, I choose Ranch Water, which started in Texas (a bottle of tequila poured into a cooler and filled with Topo Chico mineral water and a heavy dose of sliced citrus). For individual servings, fill a glass with ice, add 1.5 oz. of quality tequila and fill to the top with sparkling mineral water. Add a squeeze of grapefruit, and enjoy! Let’s raise a glass—self-serve wine dispensers are soon to be a thing in the west Metro thanks to Top Ten Liquors and its novel concept—Wineside.
