Lace up your running shoes; the second Tonka Trot hits the pavement October 15. Last year, more than 300 runners raised close to $3,500 for Minnetonka’s Groveland Elementary School in a non-traditional school fundraiser. It was so successful that word spread, says event co-chairwoman Kristin Greene, and now Groveland, Scenic Heights, Clear Springs and Minnewashta elementary schools and Minnetonka Preschool are all joining in the fun.
Tonka Trot participants can choose from a 1.5-mile family fun run at 8:30 a.m., or a 5K or 10K run at 9 a.m. Sign up online or call 952.401.6800.
