Vaida Wellness Center celebrates its one-year anniversary this month in Wayzata. The center offers a variety of stress-relief remedies, from massage therapy to acupuncture. Chiropractic care, physical therapy, Reiki services and nutritional guidance from licensed dieticians are also available. Lydia Schmidt opened Vaida after attending Northwestern Health Sciences University, where she was certified in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic; she’s also the Minnesota Timberwolves Dancers’ official chiropractor. Her best advice? Mix up your routine. Schmidt says that our bodies are pulled out of alignment when the only physical activity we get is the same routine every day. “Take care of your body today to have a happy tomorrow,” she says.
