For the enjoyment of locals and out-of-towners alike, Excelsior continues its beloved shop-till-you-drop Thursday nights in summer. Thursday used to be known as Girls’ Night Out; this year, the event series has been rebranded as Open Late Thursdays.
“Excelsior is such a booming little town,” says Connie Frederick, owner of boutique Ooh La La. “We’re drawing people from all over the Twin Cities and we just want to make sure that our town is open and alive when people do come to visit.”
One particularly exciting Open Late Thursdays event this year is a week-long fashion extravaganza, culminating with a fashion show, The Runway, on June 23 at Pique Travel Design. Fashion show tickets include appetizers, a cash wine bar, gift bags and several other goodies.
All retailers are encouraged to stay open until 9 p.m. on Thursdays so shoppers can soak up the city, day or night!
