Colonial Square in Wayzata is bringing back a popular holiday tradition: Santa and his reindeer will be outside in early December to welcome guests at the retail center. The event was well-attended last year, and organizers are planning on another large turnout. “We’re excited to be able to bring it back,” says event coordinator Joanne Mallon.
A photographer will be on hand to take complimentary photos for families who’d like to pose with Santa and his four-legged friends, and kids can get up-close with some reindeer noses—they’re friendly! Guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to a local food shelf. This year’s event will take place in the parking lot outside of Schuler Shoes, weather permitting. Hot cider will be provided by Lunds & Byerlys, with treats by Colonial Square.
