Holiday Gifts from the Farm: Felted Ornaments
November 14: Homemade ornaments are sure to liven up a holiday scene. The farm encourages children to craft personal masterpieces, using ingredients produced on its acres. Class also includes a visit with the farm animals. Ages 6–17. $20. 4:30–6:30 p.m.
Sheep to Slippers or Mittens
November 16: Both slippers and mittens make perfect gifts for these chilly winter months. Ages 12 and up will learn from the experts and stitch a felted pair for a loved one, or keep them as an early personal gift. $60. 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Introduction to Lard
November 16: Treat your noses to a cookie bake this year, with a new old-fashioned ingredient. Discover the uses for lard, including its distinctive qualities when it comes to making delicious baked goods. Ages 12 and up. $12. 1:30–4 p.m.
