Excelsior’s
annual fashion show, “The Runway,” will take place on May 11, 2017, from 5:00 –
7:30pm at Pique Travel in downtown Excelsior. Like last year’s sold-out event, the
show will be emceed by Kate Raddatz of WCCO and feature the styles of 10 local
stores.
The
show includes a mix of entertainment and Lake Minnetonka style including men’s
and women’s—and even dogs’—apparel and accessories. This year’s returning
stores include Amore & Fede, DB & Company Ta Dah!, J. Novachis,
Martin’s, Ooh La La, Primp and newcomers Epitome Papers, Maison–My European
Treasures, Paw Boutik and Water on Water. The fashionable and Emmy
Award-winning WCCO journalist, Kate Raddatz, is back by popular demand to emcee
the evening. Excelsior is her hometown.
Doors
open at 5pm and the show begins at 6:30pm. Tickets are $30 online at Eventbrite.com or $35 at the door and
include two drink tickets and butler-passed hor d’oeuvres compliments of
Coalition Restaurant.
This
year’s event supports the Tucker Masui Memorial Holiday Fund. Tucker is the
late husband of Epitome co-owner Alexandra Masui who passed away in March 2017.
The fund honors his love of seeing the town lit up during the holidays so proceeds
will pay for holiday lights and decorations along Water Street in downtown
Excelsior. Sponsors of the event include Coalition Restaurant, Excelsior
Brewing Company, Hire a Host, Meridian Boutique and Pique Travel Design.

The
fashion show kicks off Fashion Week in Excelsior which runs May 11 through May
18 over Mother’s Day Weekend and features events and specials at Excelsior
shops and restaurants.
