The Orono
Lions 30th Annual Snowball Open 18 Hole Golf Event is set for Jan. 28th,
2017 with tee times starting at 10am and runs past 2:00pm. They had 480 golfers
and over 600 people attending last years the event. Book you tee time early on online

This year the course layout is being modified to open things
up a little more and to give better definition to the fairways. Local
businesses sponsor each of the 18 holes where they give away food, play games,
and more. If you've never attended the Snowball before this is the perfect year
to start. Come once and you'll never miss it again!
- Birch's
will be opening at 10am with breakfast and Bloody Mary’s being severed. - Parking
will be available at Birch's and there will be a shuttle to overflow
parking at Nelson Beach in Long Lake
Orono Lions is asking for $25 donation per person, (day of event)
and $20.00 with on-line pre-registration.

As you may already know, the Snowball Open is the primary fundraising event for the Orono Lions. The proceeds from this event support the
various community projects sponsored by the Lions. The
projects range from support for the students in our fine school system, funding
special requests for our partners in public safety, plus many other Community Support Projects, including the RED (read every day) Lions program for 1st graders.
This program was started in Orono and has been adopted by clubs nationwide.
