Join us in Excelsior for the North American Pond Hockey Championship, a weekend-long festival on the shores of Lake Minnetonka in Excelsior. This year the “Hockey with a Heart” event features pond hockey brackets for men and women, an outdoor bean bags competition, three benefit concerts and a 5K walk-run, plus fun games in the Club Cambria tent all weekend from January 17-20, 2019, all to raise funds for charitable organizations. This year’s event benefits the Hendrickson Foundation. 

Players and spectators are encouraged to come out to enjoy the fun and competition both on and off the ice, located next to Maynard’s restaurant. The pond hockey tournament will include more than 70 men’s and women’s teams while over 50 teams will compete in a bean bags tournament. Organizers from the DWB Memorial Foundation, which stages the event, have donated over $1 million to charitable causes through the Foundation’s events since 2013.
