Annual Spirit of the Lakes Festival Hits Mound

The annual Spirit of the Lakes festival is for anyone and everyone who gets a spring in their step and a smile on their face when it’s time to celebrate Lake Minnetonka and its community.Taking place in the City of Mound, the three-day event kicks off on July 18 with a multi-city mayors’ welcome, Boots and Badges Safety Fair, a kiddie parade and Westonka Community Education’s Music in the Park with Tim Mahoney. Between the live music, art show, business showcase, live stage shows, great food and free magic shows, there is fun to be had for attendees, no matter how tall or how small. The event ends with a grand fireworks display over the lake. “It’s fun for all ages and is made possible by dedicated volunteers and generous sponsors.
