The yearly Securian Winter Run brings a half-marathon, a 5K and a 10K to the Saint Paul Winter Carnival, drawing about 1,600 runners to raise money for the Saint Paul Festival and Heritage Foundation. On January 28, runners can check in at the Securian lobby, check out the vendors, including Captain Ken’s Chili, and pick up a complimentary mug and dry-weave T-shirt. Dress for this year’s winter-inspired costume contest, bearing in mind last year’s record high of 42 degrees.
