Ready bags of school supplies for underserved youth.
Help area school-age children prepare for the upcoming year with a backpack of new school supplies. The Western Communities Action Network’s (WeCAN) annual Ready to Learn distribution is August 24–25, and the group needs your help.
Volunteers are needed to organize supplies, pack bags for specific grades, work with clients on intake, and distribute bags and backpacks. Organizing/sorting shifts are available the week prior, or help out on distribution days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 5213 Shoreline Dr., Mound.
