When the holidays arrive, Andrea Loth’s friends and family can expect perfectly wrapped gifts—complete with a bow or two. While attending Orono High School, Loth worked at the now-closed Toy World, where she was trained to wrap gifts. After studying advertising and art history at Bethel University, Loth got her master’s degree at art school in San Francisco. There the idea first popped into her head: What if there were a wrapping truck for gifts—sort of like a food truck? Soon Loth found herself trying to “fill the need that didn’t exist,” she explains, smiling. She wanted to create a gift-wrap option even more convenient than mall kiosks.
So Loth purchased an ice truck, converted it into the perfect wrapping station, and called it Gift Six: The Wrappery. Book an appointment with Loth (starting at $35), and she’ll drive the truck to your home and wrap your gifts. Clients can choose paper, bows and other accessories. Loth travels all over the Twin Cities and even into eastern Wisconsin.
Loth describes the Christmas season as “complete chaos,” but she doesn’t stop there. She also creates Easter baskets and baby shower gifts, as well as gifts for corporate clients, among others. (And that’s a wrap!)
