The Mound Farmers Market and More was founded in 2009 by Peg Heilman, Laura Lloyd, Linda Olson and Mary Perbix. The market is a non-profit organization (not affiliated with the city of Mound), and any funds raised go back to the community via donations to WeCAN, local food shelves, area schools and more.
Some of the popular vendors returning this year offer organic produce, free-range eggs, maple syrup, mushrooms and a variety of crafts and gifts. “Not only is the market providing wholesome food and locally made art and crafts, but it’s a community gathering place,” Perbix says.
