Forget the peat. What we have here is a smooth spirit from copper stills. From there, the whiskey is aged in former American oak bourbon barrels that give it emphasized notes of caramel and vanilla. Lastly, it’s transferred to former Madeira barrels to add just a hint of raisiny sweetness and terrific color.
