Amy McPartlin never saw the need to own a high-quality camera until she took a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Africa in January 2015.

“I used my iPhone camera the whole trip,” says McPartlin. “The photos were so awful that I got home and bought a real camera.”

Local Hobbyist Takes Second Place in Photo Contest

Talent and training are all well and good, but sometimes capturing a winning photo comes down to patience and luck. Being in the right place at the right time is how Nile Fellows describes capturing Female Oriole at Nest, his photo that took second place in the Wildlife and Nature division of our first annual Picture Saint Paul photo contest.
