Minnetonka’s St. David’s Center is known for building strong family relationships and nurturing children through their early childhood development program. But how about a little dancing?
For 28 years, St. David’s has hosted its annual Make Them Shine gala, which has raised approximately $400,000 each year in recent years. Not only does the event offer guests a fun night of socializing and dancing, but it also helps 1,800 local children receive necessary early education and special-needs intervention services. St. David’s programming prepares preschool students for kindergarten, and helps kids with developmental challenges build everyday skills.
Hosted this month at the McNamara Alumni Center at the University of Minnesota, this gala focuses on education for kids of all ages. The event begins at 5 p.m. with a VIP reception, followed by the main event at 6 p.m., hosted by KARE 11’s Rena Sarigianopoulos and featuring dinner, dessert and a silent auction. If you’re getting antsy in your boogie shoes, get ready to get down at the after-party at 9:30 p.m. with the band High & Mighty.
