BoxLunch, a clothing and gift retailer specializing in pop culture-inspired items, opened its second Minnesota location at Ridgedale Center mall in August. Shoppers can stock up on Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Star Wars and Disney merchandise and more.
BoxLunch works with Feeding America, a nonprofit with over 200 food banks in the U.S. For every $10 spent, BoxLunch donates a meal. Since its launch in 2015, the organization has provided more than 10 million meals.
In a press release, vice president of merchandising and marketing Robert Thomsen says, “We are thrilled to bring BoxLunch to the Minnetonka community. Our mission is simple: sell the best product and use our business to inspire and implement solutions to help fight the hunger crisis on both a local and national level.”
Second Harvest Heartland, a food bank located in Maplewood and Golden Valley in the Twin Cities, has been designated to receive some of the donations BoxLunch Minnetonka generates.
