John Haug captures the beauty of fall in his own back yard.
John Haug’s property backs up to Saunders Lake in Minnetrista, affording breathtaking views of the changing seasons all year long. On a particularly nice autumn day, Haug had just finished taking photos of the fall foliage along the lakeshore. He was walking back to his house when he noticed the “rays of sunlight coming through the golden maple leaves,” Haug says, and snapped this prize-winning photo. We liked the image so much, we awarded it third place in the Nature category of the Lens on Lake Minnetonka photo contest. Congrats!
