With apple season in full swing, Minnetonka Orchards has no shortage of events this month. Browse the list below for a perfect fit for your family:
Cider fest: October 10–11. “We’ll be selling pasteurized and unpasteurized cider for wine-making and apple beer,” says operations manager Kelly Delisle. “We’ll actually have some wine-making classes that Saturday and Sunday.” There will also be non-alcoholic cider pressing for the kids.
Jam fest: October 17–18. This weekend offers 50 percent off all jam purchases, as well as performances from local bands—so you’ll be jammin’, in both senses of the word.
Halloween weekend: October 31–November 1. The orchard will host costume and scarecrow contests both Saturday and Sunday. There will also be a haunted tractor ride, which Delisle says is “not too scary at all,” so kids of all ages can enjoy.
