Flutter into Spring

Julian Design shares how to transition your home from winter to spring.

Birds chirping, warm breezes and good smells mean spring is in the air. As you’re packing up remnants of the holiday season and swapping cranberry-pine-vanilla -scented candles for lighter floral fragrances, Julie Ann Witt, president of Wayzata’s Julian Design, is here to help you transition your home into spring.

Her No. 1 tip is to focus on what makes the season special to you. Witt’s personal favorite: butterfly decor. “Sometimes we take our homes too seriously,” she says. “Life is serious enough. If you want something quick, easy and silly, have fun with the butterflies.”
