City of Wayzata's Lakefront Improvement Project

The City of Wayzata asks residents for input on Lakefront Improvement Project.
Lakefront Improvement Project

Instead of making an executive decision, the City of Wayzata has opted to ask its residents how they would like to see the some $100,000 spent to improve the city’s lakefront. Bryan Gadow, city planner for Wayzata, says early feedback from residents includes interests in environmental quality, historic preservation, restoration of shoreline and connections to the Dakota Rail Regional Trail.

The Community Engagement Plan will last 12 to 18 months, and the Lakefront Improvement Project will take 10 years to complete. Community brainstorming sessions are scheduled to begin in August.
