Westonka Snoblazers Snowmobile Club

Enjoy these last winter days on the ice and snow with a local snowmobile club.
Members of the Westonka Snoblazers participating in the Pink Ribbon Riders trio to Grand Rapids, Minn. Some members ride in this breast cancer awareness event each year, and the club contributes funds to the cause.

Created to promote fun and safe snowmobiling, the Westonka Snoblazers snowmobile club brings together a diverse group of riders and their families to enjoy a fun outdoor winter activity.

Although snowmobile season varies based on the weather, the club meets year round for social events, such as cruising Lake Minnetonka and cleaning adopted highways. But once it snows and the ice freezes, members break out the snowmobiles. Three times a year, the club travels to snowy locations such as Michigan, Wisconsin and around Minnesota to ride, and they meet every Saturday morning at the club’s “shack” on Lake Minnetonka to ride for a few hours, as well as the first Tuesday of each month October through April at Lord Fletcher’s.

To ensure everyone rides safe through the end of this winter, the Westonka Snoblazers encourage the following snowmobiling safety tips:

  • Use hand signals.
  • Stay on marked/snowmobile-approved trails.
  • Limit alcohol consumption.
  • Watch your speed.
  • Look out for and avoid thin or broken ice.
