Excelsior Booseum and Ghost Trolley Returns

Warm up your windpipes for this frightful annual Excelsior event.

For a change from the traditional Halloween hayride, try out the Booseum and Ghost Trolley in Excelsior this year. Drawing more than 1,500 riders last year, the scares and screams are back for this eight annual event.

A collaborative effort between the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Historical Society and the Minnesota Streetcar Museum, this fundraiser benefits both organizations while offering a spooky and unusual way to celebrate Halloween.

While you wait for your turn on the haunted trolley, watch a live performance provided by local playwright Jeffrey Hatcher’s troupe of live actors. You’ll then step onto the trolley that carries you through a myriad of spooky scenes along the trail. And as you exit, enter the Booseum. “Be careful, as you never know who’s real and who isn’t!” warns Kathy Endres, vice president of the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Historical Society. For some autumnal treats to accompany your journey, Tommy’s Tonka Trolley will provide concessions.
