If your summer calendar is already filling up, don’t forget to include some of Wayzata’s most popular community events. The Lake Minnetonka Summer Splash series features art, sailing, wine, music and more this month.
The Wayzata Art Experience is June 22-23, a weekend-long celebration of art right along the lakeshore. Fine artists from the lake area and farther afield in the region set up their booths, and visitors can also enjoy live music, treats from food trucks and more.
For sailing enthusiasts (and casual spectators, too) the Wayzata Match Cup arrives in town June 20-24. The premier sailing event features towering M32 catamarans. Soak up the sun with your honey or your kiddos while you watch the boats race.
The following weekend on June 28, Wayzata Yacht Club hosts its annual Wine on Wayzata Bay fundraiser. Proceeds support the programs and scholarships of Wayzata Sailing, which aims to make sailing accessible to all kids and adults, removing barriers to access like physical ability and finances. Guests can choose from more than 100 wines, tasty appetizers, raffle prizes and—of course—boat rides until sunset.
