Khruangbin are probably your favorite band’s favorite band. The trio sound like they come from the streets of Madrid or a back alley somewhere in Morocco. In fact, the Houston-based band’s name translates to “aeroplane” in Thai. They certainly pull in a ton of funkified styles from across the globe, but the music never feels too crowded. It’s a little bit instrumental jam band with equal parts psychedelia. Con Todo El Mundo kicks off with the relaxed “Como Me Quieres.” “Maria Tambien” is filled with urgency. Other standout tracks include “Lady and Man” and “Rules.” Khruangbin are also a stellar live act (check out their live session at The Current studios for proof), so do your best to catch them on stage. Con Todo El Mundo is the perfect music for your chic cocktail hour and recommended for fans of Can, Portishead or Thundercat.
