Meet the new artistic director of the Music Association of Minnetonka.
The Music Association of Minnetonka welcomes new artistic director Sean Vogt. Incredibly, this is the ensemble’s first directorial change in 40 years. Vogt is a lifelong musician who also serves as the choirmaster at the Cathedral of St. Paul. Previously, he was a conductor for Michigan State University Chorale while working on his doctorate. Vogt holds a master’s degree in choral conducting from Southern Methodist University, and a Ph.D. in choral conducting from Michigan State. He’s also a fluent organist. The Music Association of Minnetonka provides a creative outlet for local musicians, as well as free concerts for community members. Catch their winter concert on January 28, at 3 p.m. at Minnetonka United Methodist Church.
