The Wayzata Community Sailing Center is known for filling the summers of every lake lover with endless memories out on the water. Let the memories continue on with the new Wayzata Community Sailing Center building.
Named after local Mary Plant, founder of The Mike Plant Fund, the new location will emphasize the importance of allowing children to appreciate the great outdoors while learning to navigate the water.
Plant grew up on the water and raised all of her children to share her love of sailing. Her son, Mike, was lost at sea during his fourth round in the world sailing competition. Plant started The Mike Plant Fund to honor her son and share the sport of sailing with local kids.
