Love Your Organs, Love Yourself

Minnetonka acupuncturist publishes a new book.

Acupuncturist Warren King’s new book, Love Your Organs, Love Yourself, focuses on the body’s organs, and what to eat (and when) to nourish each organ properly.

“The symptoms the body has are not just problems to get rid of,” King says. “They’re actually our body’s intelligence telling us what’s out of balance.”

King, an Eastern medicine practitioner for over 25 years, offers his philosophy that, in the fall, our bodies are contracting, much like a sponge, preparing for the frigid winter months to come. According to King, diets rich in summertime foods like sugar and tropical fruits might contribute to the seasonal rise of sinusitis, colds and flus.

King recommends harmonizing the body in fall and winter by consuming more slow-cooked soups, stews and proteins.
