Room Renewal

From antique to trendy, Bella Galleria has something to fit your refurnishing needs.

The only furniture consignment shop on Grand Avenue, Bella Galleria is a favorite destination for interior designers and decorators looking for high-quality home furnishings and unique interior accents.

“We take pride in being very particular about what we take,” says owner Ann Byerf, who opened the shop in 1993 at the corner of Hamline and Randolph avenues. “Here you’ll find furniture with good bones that will last.”

The shop, which moved to its current location in February 2015, carries a wide range of items in various styles, from contemporary and traditional furniture to vintage jewelry and decorative pillows. Byerf says the hottest seller right now is anything mid-century modern.

“It’s a favorite because of the simple, classic lines,” Byerf says. “It’s a style that goes with everything.”

For consignment store enthusiasts, shopping is “like an adventure,” says Byerf. “We have pretty rapid turnover, so people come in every week and they always find something new.”

For consigners, Bella Galleria will display items for four months and guarantees a 50-50 split on each item sold. Though the store’s focus is on home décor, Byerf says she has also accepted less obvious consignment items such as linens, artwork and accessories of all kinds.

Her advice? “Bring it in, because somebody will probably love it.”

Bella Galleria is located at 1330 Grand Ave.
