Readers, it’s nice to meet you! This December, I’m delighted to be officially taking the helm of our terrific community magazine. It’s been a wonderful transition for me, in the works since last summer. As some of you know, I've had the privilege of working with Lake Minnetonka Magazine over the past couple of years in my role as senior editor of Tiger Oak Media’s community lifestyle magazine group. I’m also truly grateful to outgoing editor Nicolle Mackinnon for what the magazine has become during her tenure: a vibrant, engaging collection of what’s going on in the lake area.
I'm a homegrown Midwesterner (I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin), and I love exploring my adopted hometown(s) here in the Twin Cities. When I'm not at the edit desk, you can usually find me with my nose in a magazine (I have an entire closet filled with them, and a mile-long reading list), visiting a local farmers' market, baking Scandinavian treats in my sunny kitchen, or hiking or skiing with my husband.
I can’t wait to dive deeper into the Lake Minnetonka area, and that’s where you come in. Send me an email, find me on social media, send me an invitation to coffee or introduce yourself if you see me out and about. I want to hear your stories—that’s what this magazine is all about.
I wish you a very happy December, and I look forward to hearing from you! You can find me on Twitter and Instagram, and at jennifer.pitterle@tigeroak.com.
