Whether it’s a hot drink warming the hands, or a cocktail warming the soul, we appreciate delicious beverages in January. Nicole Keeler, manager at Peoples Organic in Wayzata, shared three recommendations (including one you can make at home) to battle these cold January nights.
White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha, $4–$5
This has all the best winter stuff: notes of peppermint paired with white chocolate, and the irresistible zing of espresso. It’s topped with homemade whipped cream overlaid by a white and dark chocolate drizzle.
Agave Almond Milk Latte, $4.20–$5.20
Good for helping you stick to New Year’s resolutions, this latte is as delicious as it is skinny. It’s made with almond syrup and steamed almond milk, along with a double shot of espresso. The foamy goodness it is topped with boasts an agave drizzle.
To try at home: Peoples Mocha Martini
1.5 oz. Thatcher’s organic vodka
1/4 oz. Bailey’s
1/4 oz. Godiva chocolate liqueur
1/2 oz. espresso
Shake and strain all ingredients into a martini glass. Garnish with chocolate drizzle and three espresso beans.
