By Corina, a local handmade jewelry line, offers great holiday gift options.
Five years ago, when lake-area resident Corina Bauser decided to take a soldering class at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts, she had no idea her hobby would turn into such a thriving business. She moved on to beading and wiring, taught herself the art of jewelry making and started selling her jewelry in small art galleries and trunk shows. She even had a booth at Excelsior Apple Days.
Bauser travels between Arizona and Minnesota buying turquoise stones, antique brooches, freshwater pearls and more to make her jewelry one-of-a-kind. She usually tries not to purchase duplicate stones, which helps to ensure that no two pieces are alike. —Madie Scott
