How’s Your Money, Honey?
Three questions you need to ask yourself about your finances.
As we’re nearing the year’s end and entering the holiday season, we might find finances on our minds. We asked Christina Boyd, senior financial advisor and managing director of Wayzata’s Wealth Management with Boyd, Bencini, Gibbons & Associates, about the top three questions we should be asking ourselves. Boyd suggested this financial health checklist:
Am I saving more than I am spending?
“This is the foundation of every budget,” says Boyd. Review your spending and determine areas where you can cut back.
How much risk am I taking on with my investments?
Healthy return on investment (ROI) may involve some risk, says Boyd, but finding a desired comfort zone for investing is key.
Am I on track to achieve my various goals?
According to Boyd, the answer to this question varies for every stage of life—but it’s a question we all should be asking.
