Great Harvest Bread Co. in Minnetonka Gives Back

How Great Harvest’s owner is giving back to her community.

When people want to help, time and money are often the first things that come to mind. But Great Harvest Bread Co. in Minnetonka offers what they do best: baked goods.
For the past 18 years, Ruth Kloser has been demonstrating her compassion as the owner of the Great Harvest Bread Co. in Minnetonka. “We believe in giving back to the community,” says Kloser. “We believe in supporting people who support us. If you’re a business owner, that’s something you want to strive for.”
Kloser’s views are part of a larger philosophy at Great Harvest. The words “give generously to others” are in the company’s motto. Franchise owners are encouraged to give back and can choose the organizations they wish to support.
The list of organizations and events Kloser supports is long and varied: ICA Foodshelf, Homeward Bound, ResourceWest, Little League, local schools, churches and  more. She donates baked goods, like gift baskets for silent auctions or products for community races, as well as about five percent of gross sales revenue to charitable causes. —Samantha Grosz
